01 // WHAT WE DID

Visualizing Micro-Precision Electro-Discharge Texturing Mechanics.

Sarclad is a global pioneer in technology for the metals industry, renowned for their advanced Rolltex Electro-Discharge Texturing (EDT) systems used to impart specific surface textures onto rolling mill rolls.

When launching their next-generation Rolltex Multi Servo Array—featuring modular 36 or 72 electrode options and individual electrode cartridge positioning—Sarclad required a way to demonstrate microscopic precision and complex internal mechanics that traditional photography could not capture.

MeshViz designed, modeled, and animated a fully rendered 3D digital twin of the entire machine assembly, bringing microscopic servo mechanics to life for global trade exhibitions and digital sales demonstrations.

02 // ARCHITECTURE

CAD Optimization, Particle Rigging, and 4K Motion Rendering.

1. CAD Retopology & Shading: We processed and optimized heavy solid engineering CAD files into lightweight polygonal models, applying custom physically based rendering (PBR) metal, chrome, and copper textures.

2. Micron-Level Servo Rigging: Programmed custom mechanical rigs to visually simulate individual electrode cartridge deployment, demonstrating 1-micron (1µm) positioning accuracy and closed-loop electrical controls.

3. Exploded Assembly Motion: Created dynamic exploded views that reveal internal servo motors, coolant channels, and graphite-free electrode assemblies.

4. Exhibition-Ready 4K Renders: Delivered high-contrast studio camera flythroughs rendered in native 4K for international trade shows and interactive web presentation.

03 // RESULTS

An Essential Global Sales Asset for Technical Demonstration.

The resulting 3D animation suite provides Sarclad’s sales team with an indispensable tool for demonstrating complex engineering innovations to prospective metals industry buyers globally.

By making sub-surface electrical discharge processes and micro-servo movements visually transparent, the digital twin has significantly elevated Sarclad’s brand presence across international trade expos and digital marketing channels.
